New Forest

A beautifully converted Regency manor house situated in the New Forest National Park, Lime Wood is one of Britain's finest country retreats. This beautiful hotel manages to combine levels of luxury normally found in London with a paired down and laid-back country aesthetic. You can expect elegant rooms complete with four poster beds, a fresh palette of clean whites and creams, open fires and stand-alone bath tubs.

Boutique is a term that gets used all too often, but that's exactly what Lime Wood is. The Herb House spa is heavenly; you'll find a mud house, Roman-style Caldarium, indoor swimming pool and extensive gym with views of the herb garden. Dining is taken pretty seriously here; choose to take afternoon tea in the Library or Drawing Room, eat alongside the chefs at the Kitchen Table, take breakfast in the atmospheric Scullery or enjoy lunch or dinner in Hartnett Holder & Co headed up by Luke Holder and Angela Hartnett.

Only an hour and a half from London, Lime Wood really makes the most of its surroundings there are bikes you can take out for rides, extensive grounds to explore and shooting, sailing and horse riding are all available. Small touches like Hunter wellies and William & Son jackets in the Boot Room make Lime Wood a hotel with a difference. You can even bring your pets!
