Amanoi
Vinh Hy Bay
Amanoi is one of Ampersand's Top 10 Beach Hotels, Top 10 Romantic Retreats and Top 10 Aman Resorts in Asia. It also has one of our Top 10 Swimming Pools.
Overlooking Vinh Hy Bay on Vietnam's dramatic central coast at the edge of the Nui Chua National Park, on a larger than expected white-sandy beach, you will be hard pressed to find a more perfect beach resort than Amanoi.
Aman’s first Vietnamese venture comprises of 13 guest Pavilions, 16 Pool Villas, five Residences and two Spa Houses. Impressive views are a key feature, and all the accommodation captures vistas of the lush national park, the property's lotus-filled lake, Vinh Hy Bay and the East Sea beyond. Decorated in Aman’s signature elegant style by Jean-Michel Gathy, the freestanding Pavilions fuse contemporary elegance with traditional Vietnamese architectural styles and offer a combined living and sleeping area and a timber sundeck with sun loungers; Pool Villas also feature a private pool of up to 36 square metres.
Guest accommodation is joined to the resort’s facilities by winding pathways, surrounded by spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. Magnificent views unfold from the hilltop infinity pool and the Central Pavilion, which houses the Restaurant, the Bar and a library. Down on the shore, the Beach Club, with its dining area and second swimming pool, overlooks a private sandy beach.
Located in the Central Pavilion, the Restaurant serves up Vietnamese and international cuisines. The elegant and spacious eatery opens on to shaded alfresco dining areas, and the Bar is set beneath soaring eaves with views of rolling hills and distant mountains. From its lofty perch, the Central Pavilion’s expansive terrace offers superb views of the East Sea and the rugged coastline. Spend an evening relaxing here with a sundowner as you gaze across the undiscovered Vinh Hy Bay.
There is also an Aman signature spa with five double treatment rooms, two hydrotherapy suites, each with a heated stone treatment table, a steam room, Jacuzzi and cold plunge pool, hand and foot therapy rooms and a finishing salon. There is also a gym, Pilates studio, a yoga pavilion set over the water, and two tennis courts.
Amanoi lies 55 kilometres south of Cam Ranh Airport, and with such close proximity to Laos and Cambodia it makes for the perfect end to any multi-stop sojourn around Southeast Asia. Aman has opened up a new corner in Vietnam and we are very glad they did!
