Hotel Tugu Lombok is a small, privately owned and designed art hotel set on Lombok’s best beach. Some other hotels and luxury villas are located in this area (The Oberoi, for example) but the Tugu Lombok, being set on the curve of the bay, has the largest beach and the best quality sand. You have sunrise views of Mount Rinjani and the Gili Islands are a 10 minute speed boat journey away for some of Asia’s best scuba diving and snorkeling. The swimming pool is gorgeous and extremely large, and the sea directly outside the hotel is fantastic for swimming and snorkelling.

Hotel Tugu Lombok is eccentric and unique. The hotel’s owner is the biggest antique collector in Indonesia and when his collection became too big for his warehouses he built the Tugu hotel to house his antiques and share his passion for the art, history and romance of Indonesia with outside guests. It has built up a loyal fan base of guests who love its authenticity and the fact that it is not just another homogenous hotel group – if you are a fan of minimalist design and clinical service, you will not find it here!
