Reef Villa is located in Wadduwa on the Southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Within a close distance of Beruwela and Bentota, and just 40 minutes south of Colombo, Wadduwa is the ideal destination for those looking for a luxurious, tropical hideaway. There are seven incredibly spacious luxury suites in total, each one designed with Indo-colonial décor, with colourful antique floor tiles, 150-year-old four poster beds and luxurious private verandas which overlook either lush, verdant gardens or with sparkling blue ocean views. There are three room categories, Lily Pond Suite, the only room without sea views but surrounded by lily ponds and with private courtyard and sunken jacuzzi; Plantation house Suite, the largest rooms on the top floor of Plantation House with large open air timber decked verandas overlooking the swimming pool and ocean; and Ocean Suites within the gardens looking out to the sea. The furniture is a combination of antique pieces and contemporary items based on furniture as used by members of the East India Company. The highly decorated antique Calcutta four poster beds were used during the British Raj and these, together with the antique electric fans and ceiling fixed punkah fans, enhance the Colonial style. The luxurious bathrooms open onto their own private walled garden with waterfall showers and overhanging palms. This resort prides itself on its heritage features.

The al fresco beachfront restaurant, Summer Breeze, is perfectly located to take in the sounds, sights and sea air of the Indian Ocean. It serves fresh lobster, crab and prawns, as well as international and Sri Lankan cuisine. Plantation House is the main communal area of the resort and the perfect place to cool off from the midday heat or sip a cocktail at sundown. The bar here is beautifully designed with antiques, design pieces from the Ceylon era, and unmistakable colonial style. Its high ceilings and lily ponds with tropical fish give it an airy, peaceful ambience, so sit here with a book and catch a breeze.

Many excursions to local sites are offered at Reef Villa and they have their own private motorboat which can be hired for days out on the nearby Bolgoda lake, Sri lanka's largest freshwater lake. Great for birding enthusiasts, you may spot local birdlife such as herons, pelicans, kingfishers, and sea eagles.

Indulgence can be found at the tranquil and totally private Reefresh Spa.
