The Duwa Villas are a well kept secret which occupy the entire Thal Duwa, meaning Palm Island, located a short drive from Ahangama. The Dutch colonial style villas have chic interiors and combine local materials with contemporary design.

Each of the spacious villas consist of four en-suite bedrooms, living and dining areas, a butler's pantry and a private swimming pool. Verdant tropical gardens surround the villas, providing privacy for their guests, and are scattered with coconut palms, cinnamon and fruit trees. There is a main kitchen where the chefs prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes as well as Western cuisine, which is served in your own villa. Alternatively, guests can do their own cooking and learn from the chefs who conduct lessons and share traditional recipes.

Guests can enjoy the secluded island by going on a canoe ride along the peaceful river, stand-up paddle-boarding, fishing and bird-watching amongst other activities. The Duwa Villas also offer a wide variety of beauty treatments and private yoga lessons.
